Deemed an outstanding example of a Mediterranean landscape by Unesco, the Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most memorable destinations. Here, mountains plunge into the sea in a nail-biting vertical scene of precipitous crags, cliff-clinging abodes and verdant woodland. There’s jet-set favourite Positano, a pastel-coloured cascade of chic boutiques, spritz-sipping pin-ups and sun-kissed sunbathers. Further east, ancient Amalfi lures with its Arabic-Norman cathedral, while mountaintop Ravello stirs hearts with its cultured villas and Wagnerian connection. To the west lies Amalfi Coast gateway Sorrento, a handsome clifftop resort that has miraculously survived the onslaught of package tourism.Turquoise seas and cinematic piazzas aside, the region is home to some of Italy’s finest hotels and restaurants. It’s also one of the country’s top spots for hiking, with well-marked trails providing the chance to escape the star-struck coastal crowds. The Sorrentine Coast, is passable only for its sloping terraces cultivated with oranges, vines, olives and, most of all, lemons, all the way to the sea. Tourists lucky enough to pass through in springtime will be pleasantly overwhelmed with their perfume, while visitors year-round can enjoy the divine consequences of the sour citrus once picked: after all, life gave this Coast lemons, and the people made Limoncello!

Esperienza straordinaria tra le cittadine della costiera amalfitana. Il tour partito da Roma si è concluso con la visita a sorpresa dell grotta Smeralda e una passeggiata tra le vie di Sorrento. Organizzazione sempre impeccabile!

Rosana is perfecto!!! She is an awesome and wonderful tour guide you surely will not regret for giving ur business to. I had this awesome trip and she goes above and beyond my expectation. She allowed me to wander at places and took me to a lot of nice local places. It absolutely no wrong door when going with the local—eat local and buy from local. She took me to a nice friendly and good restaurant in town— super friendly staff and very good and fresh seafood ( the price is pricey though but worth trying). The trip went over the schedule for sure so it is worth the price as what you get is not only the trip itself but more ( to figure out urself when ur going with her). After trip service is something i never expect. Its my first time in Italy and i had quite a few troubles since i traveled during covid. However, she was nice enough to always help me when i reached out. Surely the after trip service is not included but she was there helping me out whenever I needed. Overall, this was the most memorable trip while I was in Rome. Will definitely book her again in my future visit Love from USA P/s: she is also a very good photographer.

Rossana Lanucara and our driver Luigi have close to 30 years experience guiding tours through Italy. They were on time. The Mercedes vehicle was spotless and very comfortable. They shared their knowledge of the area with us and made the tour delightful. I would definitely book them again.

Luigi driving, Rosanna providing good resources and information made our day more than we ever expected! Do yourself a favor and don't attempt to drive the Amalfi coast or you will miss so much beauty and waste time finding parking everywhere. Luigi is an expert driver, so sit back and relax, allow Rosanna to share points of interest while driving through the area. She was able to make a lunch reservation overlooking the beach where food and view perfect. Rosanna also knows everyone, so gelato, toilets, shopping is easy!

I don't know where to begin, except to say that Miss Bianca and our driver, Roberto, were outstanding! From the beginning, Bianca made sure to tailor they day to what we want. We were originally slated to go to Amalfi and then to Positano, but we pivoted and started in Sorrento - I am so glad we did! Bianca knew exactly where to go and we had amazing experiences at an inlaid wood shop, the narrow streets and shops and an outstanding lunch at an off-the-beaten-path restaurant. Bianca made sure to give us free time when we wanted it, and Roberto did an amazing job of navigating the tricky roads along the coast! I was leery about that much driving in one day, but it was so worth it!! Thank you - I will definitely be booking again with this company on our next adventure!

More about this tour

The blue of the sea, the green of the Mediterranean maquis and the hues of citrus fruits spreading out over terraced cultivations blend with the typical architecture in order to create one of the most beautiful itineraries in Italy: the Costiera Amalfitana (the Amalfi Coast). The tortuous street slips over deep gorges and runs down toward the beach and climbs up again along a sequence of breathtaking views: an extremely unique scenery designed by bays, inlets, cliffs and small villages engrafted onto the mountain. A picturesque interlacing of alleys and stairways overlooks the sea with all its extraordinary colors reflecting the enchanting landscape of Amalfi, the town whose name blesses the entire coast. Dominated by the majestic Cathedral dedicated to Sant'Andrea (St. Andrew), Amalfi proffers innumerable testimonies of its glorious past as a Maritime RepublicFurore, located a few milesaway, is an authentic open-air contemporary art gallery, with typical fresco-painted houses, public buildings and small piazzas. If you wish to discover the heart of this land, many naturalistic itineraries all for the exploring await you, with intense colors and perfumes of agave, Indian figs, mastic gum and rosemary. Furore is famous most of all for its fjords: unexpected, spectacular and suggestive visual expression of the power of nature. Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically within a tangled overlay of streets, alleys and shops that expose the colorful Positano fashions well-known all around the world. In the town center is the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta that shows up with its large dome, tiled in majolica and sheltering some precious works like polychrome marble altars. In front of Le Sirenuse Hotel are four small islands set in the expanse of the blue sea. Another pearl of the coast is Ravello, an elegant and refined village, dipped in green and characterized by luxurious villas. Ravello is famous all around the world for its Festival, in the garden of Villa Rufolo, where an evocative setting and the emotion of listening to great music create an experience of extraordinary intensity. The heart of Ravello is represented by Piazza Vescovado, framed by the architecture of Palazzo Rufolo and the Cathedral with its magnificent portal (the first ever made with this innovative mould technique) and 10-feet-high bell tower. The Medieval village of Atrani is marked by small alleys, arches, courts, tiny piazzas and characteristic stairs. The monumental complex of Santa Maria Maddalena is located in a dominant and spectacular position, with its Baroque façade, lively dome tiled with majolica, and elegant bell tower, symbol of the village. Minori is the delightful seaside resort that links together the fascination of landscape and sea to the cultural array centered on the archaeological complex of the Villa Romana (Roman Villa), where it is possible to admire the ancient Roman manufacturing genius, and the Museo dell'Antiquario (Museum of Antiquity) that exposes several finds dating back to that period. Praiano is an ancient and tranquil fishing village that offers visitors a very suggestive naturalistic landscape, as well as a rich artisan variety linked to the traditional silk-spinning and manufacturing. Ancient trades passed down over the centuries, such as that of the artistic ceramic manufacturing of Vietri Sul Mare, all decorated with the wonderful colors of local products. Visits to the following are a must: Scala, Maiori, Cetara, Conca dei Marini, Corsara, Tramonti and Santo Egidio del Monte Albino, natural beauties and precious historical testimonies in themselves.
